SUPER RARE Chris Reeve Umnumzaan Drop Point 2011 Mint+ Oversized Pivot

$1,300.00
sold out

At what point does a piece become really vintage? Age has something to do with it sure, but if the company is producing something identical to the older piece, then who cares? This CRK is from 2011. Chris Reeve knives nowadays aren’t made by Chris Reeve. What does that mean? They’re knockoffs? No, they’re not made by the man Chris Reeve but the brand. This one was made the dude himself Chris Reeve before he handed it off to his kids. This design is also different from modern day Umnumzaans. The first thing you notice is the pivot. The oversized pivot was a definitive design cue from the first run starting in 2008. One of the aspects of Chris Reeve is that they try to make their knives easily disassembled for cleaning. It seems they discourage that without telling you with the oversized pivot that needs a special tool. When these knives originally came out, people weren’t collecting like they do now. This one is in 9.8 perfect condition which is super rare to find on a piece 13 years old. This one was also serviced by CRK themselves to ensure its perfect condition. Having a real piece of knife history is what this piece is offering and would be a perfect showpiece in the collection.
